Listing Status at Amazon

If you are going on a holiday, or if you would like to temporarily remove your open listings for your self-fulfilled items from the Amazon website for any other reason, you can set your listings to inactive until you are ready to fulfill orders again.

When you use the Listings Status feature, you won't have to set inventory quantities to zero or extend your shipping lead times. The Listings Status feature also provides a better experience for buyers by preventing them from placing orders that can't be fulfilled right away.

Before changing the status of your listings, you may wish to check for any pending orders, since these will not be automatically cancelled. Also, you must process return requests and respond to messages from customers within 24 hours, even if your listings are set to Inactive. You can update your settings to receive return request emails with links to Authorise, Close, or Reply, and you can have Amazon automatically authorize return requests.

When you are ready to sell again, change your Listings Status back to Active, and your listings will reappear within one hour.

Fulfilment by Amazon: When you set your Listings Status to inactive, only your open listings for your self-fulfilled items will be removed from the Amazon website. All listings fulfilled by Amazon through FBA will remain active.
